Handy upgrade / repair item , these tough black nylon deck fittings are for routing bungee ropes / shockcord  on kayak decks.

Can be used to make a running line down the side of a kayak or for creating bungee cargo nets

Radiused top stops items catching on the fitting, allowing items to slide over it easily
