Moray Range
Extremely durable kayak paddle which is ideally suited to sit on top, sit in and fishing kayaks. The asymmetric blade design pulls smoothly through the water and makes it the ideal recreation paddle for beginners and intermediate paddlers.
The Poly Propylene blade material has been specially selected to give a slight element of flexibility to the blade for two reasons – it offers increased durability in service and has a lower overall environmental impact over ABS type blades. This, combined with its high strength aluminium shaft makes it light and agile – a true competent all rounder
The Moray offers great value its tough and flexible enough for activity and rental situations as well as being competitively priced for individual paddlers

RUK Sport sizes using your torso height – this is a better way than overall height of determining which paddle length will work best for you – some people carry their height in their legs, others in their torso – this method more accurately simulates the seated position you take when in your kayak
To measure your torso height, simply sit in a flat seated chair and measure from between your legs to the tip of your nose in a straight line.

Why we use PP Poly Propylene in our recreational kayak paddle range….
We have chosen PP (poly propylene) for our recreational kayak paddle blades for two simple reasons:
- FlexDurability – Our PP blades blend great rigidity with an element of flexibility which makes them much more durable than traditional ABS type plastic blades. This means in day in, day out usage they are more likely to shrug off drops and scrapes which adds up to a longer lasting paddle.
- Environmental – all of RUK Sports blade materials are selected based on their total life environmental impact. We typically select PP for our core product blades as this is more energy efficient than ABS to manufacture.
From the point of view of recyclability PP is easy to recycle and widely recycled – so it can live another life when you have finished using it.
RUK Sport selected PP over ABS due to this better rate of recycling and its durability to chemical degradation over its service life.
With regard to Glass filled / Reinforced PP, RUK Sport eliminated this product from its selection as its composite nature makes it very difficult to recycle and due to this it is normally incinerated or landfilled at the end of its life.
Polypropylene – flexibility
Energy efficiency: PP manufacturing processes are generally more energy-efficient than ABS production
Recyclability: PP is highly recyclable and has a better rate than that of ABS. PP is less likely to release harmful substances during disposal, making it a better choice in terms of end-of-life impact
Durability: PP’s durability and resistance to chemical degradation contribute to its longer lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
