Specially created for juniors the Squid kayak paddle is carefully balanced to give a lightweight paddle with narrower diameter shaft and proportionally smaller blades to make it less tiring to paddle – so juniors can be out on the water longer.

The 28mm diameter shaft not only sheds unnecessary weight but makes it easier for smaller hands to grip and handle, the smaller blades are designed with three reinforcing ribs to strengthen the blade and ensure better power transfer in the stroke.

Ideally suited to use on sit on top, sit in and fishing kayaks – its asymmetric blade design pulls smoothly through the water and makes it the ideal paddle for beginners and intermediate paddlers.

The HDPE UV protected blade material has been specially designed to give a slight element of flexibility combined with exceptional durability in service.  The high strength aluminium shaft makes it agile and easy to handle and enables the user to easily perfect their paddling technique

RUK Sport sizes using your torso height – this is a better way than overall height of determining which paddle length will work best for you – some people carry their height in their legs, others in their torso – this method more accurately simulates the seated position you take when in your kayak

To measure your torso height, simply sit in a flat seated chair and measure from between your legs to the tip of your nose in a straight line.
